Combinations in the Classroom: Learning Science, Thinking Creation and Movement
Dr. Debora Marchak & Dr. Galit Zana Sternfeld
The workshop invites its participants to experience integrative learning, learning that combines content and methods from different worlds, in this case, science and the arts. Specifically, we will engage in a joint inquiry of a scientific concept through methods developed by the inspiration of different art forms in order to apply neuro-pedagogical principles and to offer students holistic learning experiences, with more possibilities to think and to feel as part of the learning process. The workshop is intended for all educators who teach pupils of all ages, both in formal and non-formal education, in all teaching and administrative roles. We will begin the workshop with the performance"Inside the Night of the Skull" by Tal Gur and continue with two hours of exposure, practice, and discussion.
