ABOUT THE EVENT

The TRANSMEET Festival of Art and Science is an invitation to an inspiring and thought-provoking journey into the encounter between science and art – a place where curiosity, creativity, and innovation meet.
Over the course of three captivating days that awaken the senses and the mind, you will meet leading scientists, artists, and curators who work together to unlock the potential embedded in the dialogue between the two worlds.
What happens in the studio or in the laboratory when artistic practice encounters scientific exploration?
Interdisciplinary collaborations in research and creation dissolve the conventional boundaries between fields and transform the inherent friction between them into a dynamic engine for inspiration and innovation. At this point of encounter, new modes of thinking emerge, leading to original forms of knowledge and expression. Such collaborations energize communities to explore new horizons, make complex scientific ideas accessible and engaging through artistic expression, and push beyond the limits of the known.
The third edition of the festival sets out after a challenging and painful time in many respects. We hope that within the rich festival program we have created for you—featuring lectures, workshops, and musical, theatrical, and dance performances specially developed for the festival—you will find a moment of respite, and perhaps even inspiration, toward better days of dialogue, understanding, and the building of bridges between worlds and cultures.
